NEW YORK, NY--Jack Curran is the current baseball and basketball head coach at Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, NY, a job he took over from the legendary Lou Carnesecca in 1958. Since then he has been named CHSAA Coach of the Year 25 times in baseball, 22 times in basketball, won 22 city championships in three different decades and has been elected into seven different Hall of Fames.
It is not surprising therefore, that the walls of his office just a few steps away from the basketball gym would excite any sport memorabilia collector. For the "Coach" himself, a basketball and baseball fixture at Molloy for over 50 years, the celebrity pictures, autographed baseballs and basketballs, are just part of a catalog of a life spent doing what he loves--coaching.
